A Mustachioed Messenger

It was my first day at my new job. I was excited, energized and just a little nervous. One of my new coworkers greeted me when I came in, and walked me over to my desk. I scanned my new workspace eagerly.

That’s when it caught my eye: a white, paper mustache taped to the bottom of the computer monitor. I took one look and said to myself, “You are exactly where you are supposed to be.” Why? Why would a goofy mustache stuck to a monitor make me think that?

Because one of my favorite things happens to be Agatha Christie’s character Hercule Poirot. Poirot is known for his perfectly kempt mustache. This has made me love all things mustache.

I get a big kick out of the fact that you can find mustache-themed things all over the place right now. So, when I saw what I have now dubbed the “Monitor Moustache,” I took it as a very good sign. And, so far, things are going very well at the new job. And, yes, the “Monitor Moustache” lives on… my mustachioed messenger is not going anywhere anytime soon.
