Yes, It Was Literally A Sign
In April 2012, I was riding in the passenger seat of a car, staring out the window at the Pennsylvania countryside rolling by, struggling with a bit of sadness and anger from the past. I didn’t want to dwell there, so I silently asked, “How can I get back to my happy place?” At that very moment, we passed the West Overton historical village and museum, with its white picket fences and billboard. The sign read: “ONWARD AND UPWARD.”
